Modalities - Myofacial Release
Gliding over the fascia, a connective tissue layer covering the entire body, to release adhesion, increase range of motion and decrease pain. Fascia is a thin layer of connective tissue that covers the entire body. When there has been stress and stain on the body, the fascia that usually glides, becomes adhered to itself. Myofacial release, glides the fascia over itself, releasing the adhesion. Can be mildly painful, like a prolonged rug burn.
